Trek at the Track presented by Houchens Insurance Group and Grange Insurance is officially underway for the 2024 season with an exciting line up of new offerings thanks to our sponsors Houchens Insurance Group, Grange Insurance, Bowling Green Municipal Utilities, Howard’s Cycling & Fitness, and Nat’s Outdoor Sports.
Thanks to the generous support of these sponsors and new community partnerships, Trek at the Track will once again include additional offerings this year for our youngest fans. The Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Department will provide a weekly bike rodeo and safety training free of charge to children in the community.
“We’re thrilled to have so much support and interest from the Bowling Green community and to see this program grow every year,” said Greg Waldron, Executive Director of the NCM Motorsports Park.
Trek at the Track is a free event and offers a safe, enclosed environment for individuals, friends, and families to come walk, jog, skate, or bicycle on the 3.2-mile road course. The track features a variety of elevations changes, too, offering a dynamic surface to exercise on. There are a number of configurations allowing guests to customize the length of their workout.
Pets are welcome at the facility if they are on a leash, and owners must clean up after their animals. Roller blades and roller skates are welcome; however, skateboarders are asked to use the Skatepark downtown instead. Helmets are required. No motorized vehicles are allowed on the track during this activity. In the paddock, a large, flat, paved surface is available for anyone doing speed work.
Weather permitting, the 2024 Trek at the Track dates are as listed:
- Tuesdays, April 2 – May 21 | 5pm-7pm
- Tuesdays, May 28 – August 27 | 5pm-8pm
- Tuesdays, September | 5pm-7pm
The facility has ample parking, and restrooms are available. The track is located at I-65, exit 28, just off Porter Pike at 505 Kimberlee A. Fast Drive. Follow the NCM Motorsports Park on Facebook for delays or weather cancellations.
