NCM Motorsports Park is expanding its fall community programming with the addition of the inaugural Haunted Horsepower 5K, building on the success of last year’s Haunted Horsepower Trunk-or-Treat. Presented by title sponsor Metron, the event offers a full day of family-friendly activities while bringing together local businesses, community organizations, motorsports enthusiasts, and families from across the region. Proceeds from the Haunted Horsepower 5K will benefit Down Syndrome of Southern Kentucky.
The day will begin with the Haunted Horsepower 5K, where participants will enjoy a one-of-a-kind run through the NCM Motorsports Park campus. Following the race, guests are invited to stay and enjoy free spectator access to the day’s on-track motorsports activities before the event concludes with the community Trunk-or-Treat that evening. Local businesses and organizations are encouraged to participate by hosting decorated trunks and engaging with attendees throughout the evening.
“After the incredible response to Haunted Horsepower last year, we’re excited to expand the event by adding the Haunted Horsepower 5K,” said Experiential Coordinator, Ashley White. “This event showcases everything our facility has to offer. Guests can start their morning with a race that supports a great cause, spend the day enjoying exciting motorsports action, and wrap up the evening with a fun, family-friendly Halloween celebration.”
The addition of the 5K reflects the park’s ongoing commitment to expanding programming beyond traditional motorsports while creating unique experiences that benefit the local community.
“Our mission is to create experiences that bring people together,” White said. “Whether that’s through driving, racing, fitness, family activities, or community partnerships, we’re always looking for ways to make the park accessible and engaging for everyone.”
As title sponsor, Metron is partnering with NCM Motorsports Park to help grow Haunted Horsepower and further its commitment to supporting community engagement throughout South Central Kentucky.
Haunted Horsepower joins a growing calendar of community events hosted at NCM Motorsports Park, including Trek at the Track and a variety of educational and charitable initiatives throughout the year.
Registration is now open for the Haunted Horsepower 5K, with proceeds benefiting Down Syndrome of Southern Kentucky. Community members interested in participating in the 5K, hosting a Trunk-or-Treat display, volunteering, or becoming an event sponsor can find additional information at NCMMotorsportsPark.com.
