Corvette Campus recently welcomed two high-profile automotive personalities for unforgettable visits that blended heritage, horsepower, and high-speed thrills.
Internet sensation and professional driver, Cleetus McFarland, and INDYCAR Driver (and Indy 500 Winner) Josef Newgarden stopped by the National Corvette Museum as special guests of the Museum Delivery Program, where each took delivery of their new ZR1 Corvettes in front of the iconic displays that celebrate America’s Sports Car.
Following their museum deliveries, the action shifted just across the street to NCM Motorsports Park where McFarland and Newgarden each strapped into Corvette E-Rays and headed out onto the road course to put the performance hybrid to the test. From corner to corner, the E-Ray’s combination of electric all-wheel drive and V8 power showcased exactly why it has become a standout on both street and track.
Guests and staff alike were treated to a rare opportunity to see two accomplished drivers experience the full Corvette Campus journey, from delivery day excitement to laps on one of the country’s most dynamic road courses.
And for those keeping track, that makes four professional drivers who have taken on our road course in 2025: IMSA competitors Tommy Milner and Alex Sims, Cleetus McFarland, who has competed in NASCAR, and Josef Newgarden, an INDYCAR champion.
