Now in its third year, Trek at the Track, presented by Med Center Health, will once again be offered on Tuesday nights at the NCM Motorsports Park beginning April 2.

“We’re thrilled to have so much support and interest from the Bowling Green community,” said Mitch Wright, General Manager of the NCM Motorsports Park. “Trek at the Track offers a safe, enclosed environment for individuals, friends and families to come walk, jog, skate or bicycle on our 3.15 mile road course. The track features a variety of elevations changes, too, offering a dynamic surface to exercise on. There are a number of configurations allowing guests to customize the length of experience they’d like to enjoy.”

Pets are welcome at the facility if they are on a leash, and owners must clean up after their animals. Roller blades and roller skates are welcome; however skateboards are asked to use the Skatepark downtown instead. Helmets are required. No motorized vehicles are allowed on the track during this activity. In the paddock, a large, flat, paved surface is available for anyone doing speed work.

“We’re pleased to be a presenting sponsor of Trek at the Track,” says Connie Smith, President and Chief Executive Officer of Med Center Health. “This program works hand-in-hand with our mission to improve the quality of life in our communities by helping provide more opportunities for better health. We hope many area residents take advantage of this safe environment to exercise, and encourage anyone who might be preparing for the 40th anniversary Med Center Health 10K Classic on September 21 to add this to their training plan.”

Trek at the Track is also supported in part by partner businesses Nat’s Outdoors and SKY Pediatric Dentistry. It is offered, weather permitting:

Tuesdays from April 2 to May 28 from 5-7pm
Tuesdays from June 4 to August 27 from 5-8pm
and Tuesdays in September from 5-7pm

The facility has ample parking, and restrooms are available. Second-level viewing decks can be found on both the Holley Control Tower and Kimberlee A. Fast Pavilion. The track is located at I-65, exit 28, just off Porter Pike at 505 Kimberlee A. Fast Drive.
