The National Corvette Museum Motorsports Park celebrated the third year of its Women’s High-Performance Driving Introduction (HPDI) with a sold-out event that drew participants from across the region. Designed to introduce women to the thrill and fundamentals of performance driving, the program continues to grow in popularity, combining education, empowerment, and plenty of track time in a supportive environment.
Ashley White, Experiential Coordinator at the Motorsports Park, said the program is designed to empower. “We wanted to create a space where women can come together, learn at their own pace, and really embrace what driving on track is all about,” White explained. “It’s not just about speed – it’s about skill, safety, and the thrill of trying something new.”

From classroom sessions to hands-on driving drills, the Women’s HPDI introduced participants to braking techniques, cornering, and track etiquette with plenty of time behind the wheel.
Marketing Manager Morgan Watson highlighted the impact the event is making in the community. “We’ve seen such incredible growth in this program,” Watson said. “Every time we host a Women’s HPDI, more people want to be part of it. It’s inspiring to watch friendships form, confidence build, and drivers leave here with smiles that stretch ear to ear.”

Behind the wheel, participants were guided by professional instructors like Myra DeVit, who emphasized that anyone can experience the joy of performance driving. “The biggest thing I tell our drivers is that this is about you,” DeVit said. “You don’t need prior experience – you just need an open mind and the willingness to push yourself a little bit outside your comfort zone. The confidence that comes from that is something you carry with you long after the checkered flag.”
The NCM Motorsports Park plans to continue expanding its Women’s HPDI offerings, giving even more women the opportunity to discover the excitement of performance driving. Dates for 2026 events will be released later this year.
