Planned Uses

Learn from the Pros

Whether you're a serious automobile enthusiast or a first-time driver, this planned state of the art, multi-function driving facility will have a program to fit your needs. In a very short time, you will find yourself driving better, smoother, faster and safer than you ever thought possible.

High Performance Driver Education (HPDE)

If you want to learn, practice and apply advanced car-control skills, then the National Corvette Museum's high performance driver education schools are designed for you. This intense program is led by highly-trained certified instructors and teaches vehicle dynamics, car control, cornering, braking and driving fundamentals in the classroom and on a variety of courses.

All Cars Welcome

While the Motorsports Park is a part of the National Corvette Museum, all cars and all kinds of car events are welcome to use the facility.

Whether your car is stock, or modified to race car capability, it is welcome to participate. As long as your car is mechanically sound and track rules are followed, you will be cleared to start your driving adventure.

NCM VIR HPDE

In addition to motorsports functions, the park will serve two other priorities:

An educational facility for math, science and engineering programs

The park will be a state-of-the-art facility used for educational enhancement of Western Kentucky University's Ogden College of Science and Engineering students; high school students at The Gatton Academy of Math and Science, and elementary through high school students who participate in programs through the WKU Center for Gifted Studies.

Operation of a state-of-the-art teen driver safety program

The park will work with the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety and other related teen driver safety programs. "The mission of the AAA Foundation for Traffice Safety is to identify traffic safety problems, foster research that seeks solutions, and disseminate information and educational materials."
